The strucking Electricity workers under the auspices of NUEE has reached agreement between NUEE with Government after an all night meeting.
To this end the ongoing strike has been suspended after all the issues in contention by the electricity workers received the expected attention.
In a statement by spokesman of the NUEE joe Ajaero said members are urged to return to their duty posts while executive continues to monitor the implementation of the agreements.
According to Ajaero "workers will not hesitate to resume action if the agreements are not implemented.

The staff and management of AEDC has received with great joy the suspension of the industrial action embarked upon by the members of the NUEE from yesterday.
From information available to us, parties directly connected with the issues that led to the industrial action met until the early hours of today thus demonstrating their commitment to the speedy resolution of the issues that gave rise to the industrial action and allow the restoration of normal service to customers who were already becoming apprehensive especially as the yuletide period when they stock their homes with edible items is fast creeping in.
In line with our tradition of service delivery, we have also informed our staff of this development and directed the full return to duty posts in franchise area. Customers should therefore look forward to our usual commitment to service delivery.
We must use this opportunity to appreciate our customers who demonstrated a huge dose of understanding through their patience.
We are also grateful to the stakeholders for responding speedily to the challenge posed by the industrial action.
